Atlantic City Ballet: Carmen

April 03, 2017

Georges Bizet’s classic and tragic tale will be performed by the Atlantic City Ballet at Caesars AC on Sunday, April 23rd at 4:00 p.m. Still as potent and moving today as it was in Bizet’s time, this is the story of an enchanting, sultry seductress and the two men whose love for her immerses the trio in a passionate but deadly triangle.

The Ballet’s Artistic Director Phyllis Papa’s spectacular choreography and creative staging, along with David Esler’s backdrop design, beautifully recreate Bizet’s imaginative and colorful characterizations of toreadors, gypsies, and smugglers. The overall performance is a skillful and evocative complement to the composer’s eloquent score, and it all adds up to a powerful theatrical experience.

Tickets are $45 for adults and $20 for children and students who are 18 and younger. Discounts are available to senior citizens and groups of 10 or more. For more information, call (609) 348-7201.
